Fun in the Sun

What Gracie does when she is susposed to be sleeping

Gracie decided that she did not want to go to bed last night. We were sitting in bed watching TV and Gracie saw Daddy's toes and started to tickle them. Jake really had her laughing a few times but I wasn't fast enough on getting the camera. She has one of the cutest little laughs. She is growing up so fast and changing so fast. Jake and I were talking last night and we decided that if we could freeze time we would keep Gracie at age to and bring Kaytlin back to age two. They are so cute and innocent at this age. Don't get me wrong they are always going to be cute but some days they are not very innocent. They both are really great kids though. I love them so much. They can really teach you a thing or two.

Riding Bikes

Kaytlin is learning to ride her "big girl bike" and she is doing really well at it. Her favorite place to ride is in the street (don't worry I am right there watching her making sure there are no cars) because she is able to do big circles.
Gracie really loves to ride her bike too. She is getting really good at pushing it with her feet. Her poor little legs are not long enough to reach the peddles. She also like to go in circles, and hide all kinds of fun stuff in the seat of her bike.
Gracie kind of got sick of riding her bike so she decided that was was just going to run in little circles. She was having a blast, she just kept of laughing. The little things that amuse her really crack me up.
Kaytlin has found a new hobby... she really loves to take pictures. And I must say that she is getting really good at it too. I think for her birthday I am going to get her, her own little camera.

Little Miss Blue Eyes

Okay so I just love Gracie's big blue eyes. They are so full of life and just so gosh dang cute!! She never used to like getting her pictures taken but she is finally coming around. She has one of the cutest smiles too. I can always tell when she is up to something because of the cute little looks she gives her Daddy and I.

Some sisterly love

Kaytlin and Gracie have been doing a lot of rough housing lately. And where they get it from I have no idea., But I must admit that it is really funny to watch sometimes. You would think that Kaytlin being the oldest would be stronger than Gracie, but it is totally opposite. Gracie totally kicks her tush. All the while Kaytlin is just laughing. I think that is what her problem is. She can't play because she is laughing to hard.

wanted a kiss from her big sister. Kaytlin was not having it. She tried all she could to block her kisses, but it did not work. Finally Gracie just grabbed her face and planted a big kiss right on her cheek!!

The girls and Mom

These are not the best pictures of me.. but ever since I have started this blog I have not really put any pictures of the girls and me up here so I thought I would add these ones. I hate having my picture taken I NEVER do very good with them but oh well it is a price I have to pay now that I am a mom!!! Anyway it was fun playing with the girls and trying to take pictures.

Sleeping

So today we had to get up really early. We were up at 6:30 in the morning due to the fact that we had to take Jake over to the armory so that he could pick up his GSA and head out to Boise for the next few day. When we got home from doing that we had our breakfast and took out baths and headed out to pay bills. Which sucked.. I don't like giving out that much money, but I know it has to be done. The we headed out to our little card exchange that we do once a month. After we were threw with that we went and paid one last bill then came home and had lunch. For most of you that know my kids they don't tend to get out of bed until at least 9:30 so this was really hard for them. By the time they got to bed they were exhausted, with in 5 minutes of them being in bed they were out. And they actually took a 2 1/2 hour nap. I think I am going to have to get them used to early mornings, it really mad for a better day I think!

Blow up toy part 2

This is the big toy that all the kids big and little got to play on. A special thanks to Jakes supplt Sgt. Geisler. The kids sure did have a lot of fun on it. Oh yeah so did Jake. I hope that we can do this again next year becuase it sure was FUN!!! The girls sure did bet a lot of exercise. They slept great when you finally got to bed!!

Gracie

So Gracie found this inner tube that was being used to go down the slip in slide. Well she decided to get in it and I thought it was really cute!!

For the fourth we went out to a friends house who had lots of fun stuff to play with. While all the big "kids" were playing on it Kaytlin and Gracie decided they wanted to play in the puddles that were left on the slip in slide. They had a lot of fun in them. The little thugs that amuse us.

Waiting for the parade

While we sat and waited for the parade I took some pictures of the girls and daddy... The girls have really loved having Jake home. I don't know what they are going to do if he has to start to travel again. But while he is here we will love every moment together. By the way... the parade was fun. But not the best we have seen by far!! :)

Hair pieces

Every year I buy the girls outfits for the 4th. Well this year I even bought them little hair pieces. I thought they looked really cute in them even at 7 am them looked cute!! They did not last long in their hair though. They didn't even wear them at the parade.. but that is OK!!

Pre 4th of July

So Jake and I really love the forth... and start to celebrate a day early. Well we were out one evening lighting off fireworks and the neighborhood kids decided to come watch as you can see in the background pictures. Gracie was really into the fireworks.. which really made Jake happy because Kaytlin has never really liked them. And then this year she decided that they were cool and now she loves them. She keeps asking Jake if we can go buy more fireworks. Its so cute! I must say this has been one of the best fourths that we have spent together!!

Our new puppy

So we got a new Kaytlin a new puppy. OK well it is for the whole family but mainly for Kaytlin... She is completely 100% potty trained. She has not worn a pull up to bed in almost two weeks!! We are so proud of her. So "Lucky" was bought to show her that. Way to go bugga we love you!

The other day we decided to put Kaytlin and Gracie in dresses and take them out front and take pictures of them. I really love doing this.. I just wish I were a little better at it. They both seem like they are starting to get a little more into it. Which makes me happy!!
