This elephant is hand made by one of my friends, friend!! Its out of wood and he hand painted it. He also put a rope light on the back of it so Taylor has a night light!! :)

This is just some vinyl lettering that I did of her name. Just like I did for Kaytlin and Gracie!!

So I am on the hunt for new bedding that goes well with the new curtains, and pillows and rug they got fro Christmas!! Sacramento

Here are some of the pictures from Sacramento. The girls really loved the fact that Bodhi had paint that they could play with outside on the sidewalk. They made a huge mess.. Good thing that is was all washable!! Also one of the days we got to take the kids to an amusement park that is meant for kids 8 and under. The kids had a ton of fun. They were able to ride all of the rides. They LOVED it!! I thought they would be scared but they weren't. They laughed and screamed the whole time!! Also they got to jump on Bodhi's trampoline! They loved it so much we got them one when we got home!! We ate a ton of way YUMMY food!! And all around had a blast!! It was way hard to leave and come home. The girls and I plan on going back this fall/winter while Jake is deployed!!

San Francisco

In June we went to California to see my Aunt Kris, Uncle Eric, Bodhi and my Grandma. We stayed there about 5 days and had a total blast. Here is a few of our pictures from when we went to San Francisco. Jake and the girls had never been, so it was a ton of fun to experience it with them. Jake took a ton of pictures. He was way excited. There were people standing down at the pier being robots, one guy even was holding up a sign asking for a dollar to buy some pot with. We thought that was really funny. We had lunch at the Hard Rock. Oh my goodness that food was delish!!! We were in heaven!! The girls got to touch some of the sea animals at the aquarium we went too. They all thought that was the coolest thing ever. All in all the trip was a blast! I am going to post more pics of Sacramento too!!!

Yellowston Park

So a couple weeks ago we went to Yellowstone National Park. The girls had a blast. We could not believe how many buffalo were out. They were everywhere. We also got to see a couple of deer, but I was not fast enough with the camera. We also got to see a ton of waterfalls. I love waterfalls, so do the girls. It was kinda chilly out but it was still fun. This was the first time Kaytlin and Gracie have been.!!

Bedrooms

Well I finally got to Kaytlin and Gracie's bedrooms! I Did Gracie's in a flower and butterfly theme. I really like it. I think it turned out really well!! And Kaytlin's room was done in Hannah Montana. So on her walls I did stars and guitars. Both girls really like them, and the best part about it is that I did not have to spend any money. I already had all the vinyl. I must say I really love my cricut. It was money very well spent!!

My new Car!!!!

Here is my pretty new car that my hubby got me!! It is a 2007 Chrysler Sebring. And I love it!!! It is in such great condition. It has everything in it that I would want. And the best thing is.. my mini-van is GONE!! My kids were all to excited to get rid of it!! They love driving around in the car and well so do I!!!! Thanks Jacob!! I love my new car and I LOVE you!!!!!

On Sat. we went to the Army's Christmas party. It was a ton of fun. Anyway.. the girls got to see Santa! This was the first year that Gracie actually say on his lap. I was very impressed with her! They both were excited and told him everything that they wanted!!

Demolition Derby

On Sat. we got to go to the demolition derby in Rexburg. It was the first one that I have ever been to. And it was a blast!! We had so much fun. I took my video camera that Jake just got me and took videos but I cant get them on here right now so I will try tomorrow!! One of our neighbors was actually in it so that was really cool!!!

Marathon

Jake ran in a marathon yesterday. His time did a fantastic job! They came in first, and they were the last ones to start. They beat out the fire fighters, the reg. army and the Marines!! I am so proud of all the guys! They are all so amazing!!!

4th of July

This year for the 4th Jake had a parade he did in Rexburg with the Guard. We had a really fun time. We got to go with out best friends which made the day so much better! We also had a bbq that night with a bunch of our friends and then did our own fireworks. I didn't get any good pics of the fireworks.. but they were awesome! And the girls finally got into them this year, which made it so much more better!!!!

This past Saturday we got to go to the zoo. It was a lot of fun. Most of the animals were out and moving around. I was way super excited to go to the zoo this year because they finally opened to bear exhibit. They were out and active, but I could not get there picture because they were to busy attacking the door trying to get to their food.! But it was still cool to finally see them at our zoo.

We got to go camping a couple weekends ago... the girls loved it!! They keep asking when we get to go again!! We all got to play on the 4-wheelers. Thanks to the Jones'.!! The kids really LOVED that!! Made Jake and I really want one! Also I finally shot a gun! For my very first time!! I was very proud of myself!! :)

Gracie's Three

Well my baby just turned three on May 10. It's so sad!! I can't believe how fast time has passed use by. It seems just like yesterday we were having her.. and now she is 3!! Well we didn't do to much for her birthday... we went to the river and feed the ducks, then we came home and opened presents. Here are just a couple of the pictures from this morning! The girls were really excited with what they got... Kayltin kinda thought she should have gotten more but I quickly fixed that little idea! I had a cute little idea and took the Robin Eggs and put them threw out the house and on the girls bed and what not. And when Kayltin woke up she was like "mom what is all this candy" I said "they must be from the Easter Bunny when he came to bring you your baskets" and then she said "he went everywhere, it was in the kitchen, the living room, our room and yours. I proceeded to tell her that he must have been checking on us! She was fine after that!! But it was her big story of the morning.

After they had their Easter baskets and breakfast and baths we went over to out friends house for an Easter egg hunt! All the kids had a really fun time! Thanks for inviting us over again!! Sorry no pics.!

Playing Baseball -aka- golf

Today while we had a chance to play outside the girls got their baseball bats and balls and decided to play golf. They didn't really understand what they were supposed to do with them until Mom showed them. They really had fun playing baseball after that. I wish I could have gotten a shot, but it is hard to be a pitcher and a photographer.!! They both do pretty well at hitting the ball. I was really amazed! Maybe I will try and get a video of them whacking the ball next time it is warm outside.!

The Lesson

Now I normally dont put emails on here.. but I really loved this one!! I got this from a good friend Cari!!

A lesson that should be taught in all schools and colleges: Back in September of 2005, on the first day of school, Martha Cothren, a social studies school teacher at Robinson High School in Little Rock, did something not to be forgotten. On the first day of school, with the permission of the school superintendent, the principal and the building supervisor, she removed all of the desks out of her classroom. When the first period kids entered the room they discovered that there were no desks. 'Ms. Cothren, where're our desks?' She replied, 'You can't have a desk until you tell me what you have done to earn the right to sit at a desk.' They thought, 'Well, maybe it's our grades.' 'No,' she said. 'Maybe it's our behavior.' She told them, 'No, it's not even your behavior.' And so, they came and went, the first period, second period, third period. Still no desks in the classroom. By early afternoon television news crews had started gathering in Ms.Cothren's classroom to report about this crazy teacher who had taken all the desks out of her room. The final period of the day came and as the puzzled students found seats on the floor of the deskless classroom, Martha Cothren said, 'Throughout the day no one has been able to tell me just what he/she has done to earn the right to sit at the desks that are ordinarily found in this classroom. Now I am going to tell you.' At this point, Martha Cothren went over to the door of her classroom and opened it.. Twenty-seven (27) U.S. . Veterans, all in uniforms, walked into that classroom, each one carrying a school desk. The Vets began placing the school desks in rows, and then they would walk over and stand alongside the wall. By the time the last soldier had set the final desk in place those kids started to understand, perhaps for the first time in their lives, just how the right to sit at those desks had been earned. Martha said, 'You didn't earn the right to sit at these desks. These heroes did it for you. They placed the desks here for you. Now, it's up to you to sit in them. It is your responsibility to learn, to be good students, to be good citizens. They paid the price so that you could have the freedom to get an education. Don't ever forget it.'

Warm Weather

Shocked

Just when we needed a little up lifter... We decided to do something cheap and fast last night for dinner.. So we went and got a famous $5 pizza. Well Jake went in (he was in uniform, just got off work) and there was a little line. So he got to the back of the line and patiently waited. Well he got up to the counter and was told that a customer a couple people in front of his bought his pizza and wanted to thank Jake for serving our country!! Needless to say he was very shocked and said are you serious and thank you! Jake would have loved to tell the mystery person thank you! I thought it was very nice! Right now times are not good for anyone, and for someone to show such kindness just amazes me! So I just wanted to say.. doing something that small could really help someone. Granted we are fine we could have paid for our own pizza it was just nice to know that there are people out there that appreciate our military!!

Ducks

When we got to the river today the ducks were very hungry.... the followed use everywhere we went. It was really funny. In the very last picture that duck followed us everywhere. It was making Gracie very uneasy. She kept on looking back and then she would start to walk a little faster!! It was super cute! I can't wait till it is warmer and we can enjoy going to the river a little more!!

This past weekend we got to go to a hockey game with some friends! Well Gracie was getting kind of bored so I let her look in my purse! I look up and she has my sun glasses on!! I think she looks so cute!!
I must say the hockey games were a blast. Thanks Amy and A.J. for inviting us!! I wish I were able to get more pictures but I didn't. The first hockey game was kinda lame. It was between Sun Valley and Skyline. And well Skyline did not put up much of a fight!! The second game was between Meridian and I.F.!! Well Meridian was the defending champs and let me tell ya I know why too!! They have a very aggressive team!! When we left the was about 10 minutes left in the last period and Meridian was up 9 to 0!! What a game!!

What Jake Does When He Is Bored

When Gracie got sick we had to take her to the doc. just to make sure everything was okay. Well Gracie wasn't to thrilled when the doc. gave her the strep test. So Jake being the great Daddy he is got a glove and started playing with it. Blowing it up and teasing Gracie with it. Well when we got home Jake got the bright idea to blow it up and put it on his head. Here are the end results! Thanks for being such an awesome Daddy Jake!!!!

As stated in an earlier post... poor Gracie is sick. And this is how I found her sleeping on the couch!! I think she was going to get off the couch but never made it that far.. I feel so bad for her. All she does is lay on the couch and sleep and watch TV... it breaks my heart when my little girls are sick!! I really hope the rest of us don't catch this... but then again that would be way to easy!!

Oh and I forgot to tell it earlier.. but my baby (OK she is not a baby anymore) is potty trained!! My girls are growing up way to fast! :(

We had a very busy week last week. My Aunt Kris came in from California last week for a little visit! It was so much fun. Its been about two years since we last got to see her, so it was a really nice treat! Kaytlin and Gracie really warmed up to her a lot!! They were really sad to see her go!

Red Robin

Tonight Jake and I got to go to dinner with our really good friends Grant and Natalie!! She got some vouchers for free dinners.. and well I must say it was YUMMY!! I love their food. I have ate at Red Robins a lot when I lived in Colorado. I must say it is really nice to see Idaho Falls getting some really good restaurants!! It was also nice just to have some time with the adults with no kiddos running around. Granted I missed my girls a lot. Well if you get the chance to go eat at Red Robin I say go for it!! Its YUMMY! And well worth it!

Here is a sign I made. Jake bought me a cricut for Christmas so I have been having lots of fun with it. My letters are not exactly straight but I figured it. I got the vinyl transfer tape that makes it a lot easier to put on the things I make. (So Jenny the sign I am making you will be straight.!!) I don't think its bad for my first time!!

Every year we do Christmas cookies.. well this year we kinda had to do them fast. We ran out time. This is Gracie and her lovely little smile.. she is so funny and so cute!! Look close at the cookies she really gave Santa a lot of sugar.

Here is our Christmas tree. As you all know we went and cut down our own tree. It was a blast. But the trees are not as "full" and they would have been had we went and bought a tree from a lot. The tree was a lot more full and cuter but when we trimmed the tree we trimmed the wrong end. When we first got it the top was really cute. But once we trimmed it (from the bottom) we decided it wasn't as great as we thought it was. LOL So this is the finished product. We are unable to put our star on top because it has two tips so it looks really funny. Also I was not able to put a lot on it so it is kinda bare this year. But all in all I think it looks really cute. Next year we will look a little harder for a tree that is a little more full.

Here are a couple pics of the trees. Grant and Natalie were really fast at getting their tree, and it turned out really cute. They are pros at this though.. There are also a couple of pics of Jake up on the hill with our tree before he cut it down and then at the bottom of the hill after he cut it down. And then of course we had to have one of Kaytlin going down the hill on her bum. She was having so much fun up in the hills. It made Jake and I very happy.!!

I think the sled was the hit for the girls. They really enjoyed it! We are planning on going up on the hill next month with the kids to take them sledding. I am so excited for that! Gracie didn't really want to walk at all.. all she wanted to do was ride on the sled. It was really cute, but really hard trying to climb up on a mountain holding her. lol. All in all I think the girls really had fun! I can't wait till next year!!

Our hunt for our Christmas tree

Here are the pictures when we first arrived to the Mountains. We wanted to get a little fire going so we had something to warm our hands up on. Natalie and Grant brought a sled with them so I have a bunch of photos of the girls on that too. This was such a great experience I am so glad that we got to do it! Kaytlin was really excited to tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas. That is all she talked about for the past weeks. Gracie on the other had was not so happy. At first she was okay with seeing Santa until she actually had to get up there and see Santa. It was so sad and funny all the same. She was crying so hard. It made me feel bad. I was unable to get a picture of both of the girls with Santa, but maybe next year it will be better. Oh well one can hope right. Well that is all I have for now. I will be uploading lots more pictures tomorrow. We are going to cut down our Christmas tree with some really good friends, so tomorrow will be a fun and exciting day. Its going to be a GREAT ADVENTURE!!

Well this weekend we had the annual Christmas Party for Jake's unit. It was a lot of fun. The girls got to see Santa. Which made Kaytlin VERY happy and made Gracie very mad! But it was fun. Kaytlin and Gracie got to play with Ryann. She is such a sweet little girl, and they always play so well together!

My Very First Turkey

Well this year Jake and I decided to do our own Thanksgiving! And it was a blast. We

really missed seeing family... but it was kinda nice just to go at our own pace and what not. We made the whole entire dinner (made a bit much for just the 4 of us) but it is nice to have all the leftovers to our self. As Jake says he gets to make turkey sandwiches. This was my first time making a turkey and I must say it turned out PERFECT! It was so moist and juicy. I think I might have to host a dinner at my house soon!! Anyway I hope everyone had a great day yesterday!!

The Girls and Great Grandma

A couple weeks ago I hosted a Sentsy Party thanks to my awesome sister-in-law Laura. Well my Grandma DeeAnn came with was so nice. The girls don't get to see her very often so when they do it is a treat for all 3 of them. Well this is the first picture I have got of them together and it really means a lot to me. Not many people can say that they have a great grandma and even great-great grandparents which they do. But again we don't see them often because they live in Layton and in the winter they live in Arizona! But anyway thanks to everyone that came to my Sentsy party it was really fun!!

So the other night we were getting the girls ready for bed and Kaytlin decided she was going to put on Daddy's Army jacket.. she thought it was so cool!! She looked really cute in it even though she was pretty much swimming it in!! So the picture is not the best. Kaytlin started to dance just as I took the picture. She really loves to dress up and dance around. I really love watching Kaytlin and Gracie dance around and sing it is so cute. If I can get on the ball I will take a video of it and post it on here.!!

Jenny's Baby Shower

So yesterday we had a baby shower thrown by my sister-in-law Laura for my sister-in-law Jenny. She is having a little boy named Easton next month!! This is going to be her first baby. Isn't she so cute!! Anyway these next two pictures are of Jenny opening up some gifts. My pictures weren't the best because of the glare from the front door.

But you still get the general idea. She got a bunch of cute little things for Easton!!

This is a picture of both Jenny and Laura. They both are really awesome!! I'm glad that they are my sister-in-laws!!

So lately I have been in a really crafty mood... and have wanted to get a few more fall decorations. So I made this "Happy Fall Y'all". I paid under $15 total to do the whole set up! And it turned up super cute!! After I made the fall one I decided why not make one for Christmas (even though I have more decorations than I know what to do with). And this is what I came up with. It says "Let it snow". Then the ribbon has little snowmen on them since they are my absolute favorite!! Again I paid under $15 for this whole set up!! I wish I were a millionaire because then I would sit at home and do fun crafts all day!! lol

The girls and Barbie

On Friday I got a little invite in the mail that said that "Barbie" was going to be at Wal-Mart. So I took my kiddos yesterday. This first picture is of them standing in line waiting for Barbie to come out!= When Barbie came out Gracie was way excited, (she loves barbies more then Kaytlin.) All the sudden you here Gracie " MOM there's "Babie" (saying it as Gracie would say it)." Normally she is not one to go up to a complete stranger and have a picture with her. But yesterday was a whole different story.

Needless to say I am very happy that I took them to see her yesterday. That's all they talked about the rest of the day.!! They also got a new barbie and a new barbie purse! They were literally in heaven!!

Well here is Gracie once again picking her nose AND smiling about it! I don't know how many times she has been told to STOP picking her nose... but she is not getting the hint! She is even to the point now that she gets bloody noses. I don't understand why she likes to do it. A part of me wants to say because she knows how bad it drives me crazy!!

Where here are the girls with their daddy. They have been so excited to see Jake. Every evening when he gets home they both bolt to the front door yelling "daddy, daddy" it is very cute to see. I think that Gracie had the hardest time this past month when Jake was gone. She has been sick a lot and when she is sick for some reason all she wants is her daddy. Which many of you know for the longest time she wanted nothing to do with Jake, so this is a very big thing!! Kaytlin really missed him also but we have come to the conclusion that she understands now that when daddy leaves its not for good... that eventually he will be home! But I must say it sure is really nice having him home again!! Life is just so much easier!!

Well this is the very first election that I voted. I thought it was a very important one. We all know that this election is making history.... BUT I am worried. I have NOTHING against colored people but Obama being elected president not only puts my husbands job (military) in jeopardy but it also effects so many other aspects of our life. Really how can we support a man that wont even salute our flag. I have no respect for this man, I really hope that he dose what he says he is going to do to. I understand that America needs a change, we are all in a bad spot. And I really hope that things don't get worse. Last night was a very crazy night. Lets all pray that things go the way they should. I hope that America pulls together for our kids and the kids to come. And I must say I agree with my SIL Jenny.... "I hope they really looked into what he wants to do for this country and voted on that and not just color of his skin. I am not racist I never have been and never will be."

All the girls really had fun. I think the most fun they had though was at dinner where they all became really hyper! Which I did not get any pictures of because my camera died. Oh well all in all this was one of the best Halloweens that we have had!

This year Kaytlin wanted to be a princess (like always) but she also wanted to have wings so that is what she got.

I think it turned out very cute! She was so excited to wear it and to go trick-or-treating. That's all she talked about.!

These are her wings they were very big and dramatic, but that is they way she is so it all fit together.

I crimped up her hair to day so that it would have lots of curls. She has some of the prettiest hair that I have ever seen. Also I put a little make up on her.. she looks so pretty and so grown up! Makes me so sad!!

The many "shades" of Gracie

So Gracie started this year out as a "Pirate Princess." She was acting silly and I was unable to get a really good picture of her costume. She did look really cute in it. Then one day I was at Old Navy and found this really cute "Mouse" costume. And I absolutely feel in love with it! She also really liked it at first.

I drew on some whiskers and gave her a pink nose but you really cannot tell because she was grumpy and wanted out of it. But she did look really cute in this one also. But once she saw that sissy had wings she was done with the mouse. So....

First thing on Halloween morning I was out trying to find her a costume that had wings. AND we were in luck!! Thank goodness. In this picture below she is showing off her wings. She was very happy with her Tinkerbell costume. She is a very spoiled little girl,.

Her she is looking very beautiful in her Tinkerbell costume she a crown. Can't forget that. LOL

After lots of thinking, shopping, and looking around, I have finally figured out what I wanted done the the guest/Kaytlin and Gracie bathroom. I am very pleased with the out come and so very glad that I am done with it! Now on to the next room.

This top picture was mainly supposed to be of the towels. I loved the colors and they ended up matching perfectly!!

This second picture is how it looks all around the top half of the bathroom. The colors really go so well together.

The third picture is the top of the toilet. I have a really cute basket that I actually got from my baby shower that I had with Kaytlin. I really like having extra wash cloths in the bathrooms and think this is a fun cute way to have them out.

And this is one of two rugs we have in there. Don't mind the ugly flooring under it. I really like the rugs they kinda have the shaggy look to them. They are all really cute! Well this is the new and very improved bathroom!!

Pumpkin Patch Pictures

Here are a few pictures from the pumpkin patch today. This one Gracie is bringing me the pumpkin that she picked out. She was very proud of herself! She did just a great job, she really got the hang of picking up pumpkins (any) and putting them into the wagon we were using. It was really funny because as she was putting them in there I was taking them out. It was really hard to keep up with her. Here is Kaytlin trying to find the "perfect" pumpkin. It was really cute to watch her because she would just stand there and stare at them at pick it up and look it over then put it back on the ground because it had dirt on it. It took her a little bit to realize that they all had dirt on them and that they needed to be washed.
Gracie found this pumpkin and decided that it was the one she wanted. I was going to get it for her until I figured out that the bottom of it was rotten. So maybe next time we go we can find her, her odd ball one. She was really mad that I was not going to to let her get it. I felt really bad for her!!
Here's a pumpkin Kaytlin finally found that was little and an "okay" one. She wanted a bigger one but that one worked for a min. We still got it for her and then got her a larger one. When she gets her mind set to something that she wants its that way or no way. So it kinda took a whole to find her a pumpkin but the other kids were having a blast so it all worked out.

At some point it time Gracie had lost a bow (which I just mad last night) so we had to walk all around the pumpkin patch and what not, still I did not find it so I went up to the people that were running it and let them know we lost a bow and left my name and number. Well then we got back in my van to leave and I got the bright idea to look in her coats hat and low and behold there it was. I thought it was really funny, but wasted a bunch of time. So next time I will look in her coat before I search everywhere else!!

The Girls Playing in a "Fort"

Here is Gracie trying to come out of the "fort" giggling all the way through. They are so cute, they loved playing in the "fort" I will have to make it again another day.

With the weather turning cold it's kinda tricky keeping the girls entertained so this evening we decided to build a "fort" so I am not great at making them but the girls sure did have a lot of fun playing in it. Kaytlin kept on peeking around the corner saying "take my picture mom." I though this one was really cute. Everywhere that Gracie goes she has a barbie in her hand. She loves them to death. But besides that I was able to crawl in their "fort" and snap a couple pictures. This is one I got of Gracie. She has such a cute smily, and the prettiest blue eyes I have ever seen.
I told Kaytlin to smile really big and pretty in this picture and she did, but she closed her eyes. She is a VERY animated little girl.

I am so excited.. gives me something new to play with since it is getting cold outside. These two that I did are a bit larger than I would like them to be, but hey its my first set.

I just had to show off Gracie's new shirt that she got!! She looks so cute in it! It is kinda big on her, but she still looks very cute in it! Lately she is not very fond of getting her pictures taken so she either does not look at the camera or she plays around. Like in the picture with her pointing at her eye. She was showing me where it is. She is also getting very smart. I can not believe how fast they grow up. It makes me so sad.. She is so much like Kaytlin. I hope that they stay as close as they are now. Minus the fighting I don't think that Jake and I will be able to handle it when they become teenagers.. lol

We took these pictures last weekend when it was nice outside. Our lawnmower broke go figure so my very handy husband fixed it for me.While he was doing that Kaytlin was getting a couple more hours of riding her bike in before summer was completely up. We had a couple of Kaytlins friends come over today for her b.day since we decided not to have an actual birthday party this year. We had lots of fun!

This is the very first year that I have actually made a birthday cake for Kaytlin. Normally I buy a themed one because we have bigger parties, so its not the best but it is still really cute. It was a lot better of a birthday because there was not so much stress behind the day trying to get everything done. :)

Gracie was way super tired the other night.. She never was able to eat her dinner. I gave her, her plate went it to the kitchen to get her some milk... and.. found her passed out cold on the dinner table. It was so cute I had to share it with everyone.
From the table I moved her to the couch. She never moved an inch and this is how I found her when we done eating. Don't you just love her chubby cheeks!! :)

Jake had to go to Lewiston on Monday night so the kids kinda went crazy with out the daddy. On Tuesday afternoon I was taking a couple of pictures of the kids and Gracie blew her daddy a kiss.
Kaytlin and Gracie giving each other a little hug. I am glad that we had them so close in age. I hope that they will always have a close relationship like they do now. But only time will tell when they become teens I guess. :)
